Black Friday in Poland 2023 and Cyber Monday

The most anticipated day for all shopping enthusiasts is approaching – Black Friday. On this day, you can find the products you need at attractive prices. It’s important to know the list of stores with the best offers and not forget about online shopping.

When is Black Friday in Poland?

This year, Black Friday falls on the last Friday of November, which is November 24th. This day will feature the most attractive sales and offers from various brands. However, the promotions and discounts do not limit themselves to just one day; sometimes, they last for weeks. There is not only Black Friday but also Black Week, which usually begins a week before Black Friday but can start as early as the beginning of November.

Although it may seem like why offer significant discounts on products that are already being purchased, this day is beneficial for everyone. Shoppers can meet their needs at an affordable price, and sellers can move a larger volume of goods. The key is to catch the attractive deals and keep in mind that the queues will be impressive. An alternative can be shopping online.

What discounts to expect on Black Friday in 2023? Despite high inflation in European countries, sellers will still offer discounts to their customers. Electronics and clothing are the most commonly bought items on this day in Poland. These product categories typically have the highest discounts, up to 70%. Home appliances and footwear are purchased less frequently. Among women, cosmetics stores, perfumes, lingerie, and accessories are popular. Men prefer footwear, hobby accessories, gaming consoles, electronics, and gifts for their loved ones on holidays.

The discounts will be distributed as follows:

  • In 10% of stores – up to 70%;
  • In 50% of supermarkets – up to 30%;
  • On online platforms – up to 40%;
  • Other retail chains – 20-30%. Most stores care not only about increasing the volume of products sold but also about their social media and mobile app activity. Therefore, discounts will be more significant for customers who are part of so-called store clubs and subscribe to their news. To do this, download the app or visit the website, enter your login and create a password. As a result, you will have discounts and notifications of upcoming updates. Plus, you can place orders online and avoid long queues.

The most significant discounts are expected in stores such as RTV Euro AGD, Huawei, Allegro, Media Expert, MediaMarkt, Philips, Samsung, Ikea, Amazon, Philips, Lidl, Pepko, and others.

How to make sure the discounts are real? There are occasional situations where discounts are not genuine, meaning they are deliberately inflated and then reduced to their cost price. In Poland, a directive called Omnibus has been introduced to check stores and the discounts they offer. According to this directive, sellers must report the lowest prices of products within the last 30 days. This is now an obligation before customers. In January 2023, the directive came into effect, so dishonest stores will have to pay fines of 40,000 zlotys.

Additionally, be vigilant to avoid falling victim to online scams.

What is Cyber Monday like in Poland in 2023? It’s worth noting that many countries, including Poland, celebrate Cyber Monday. This day is important for consumers because many online stores continue to offer attractive discounts on their products and services. This includes electronics, home appliances, clothing, cosmetics, toys, and more. Therefore, all the goods that remain after Black Friday can be purchased on Cyber Monday online.

Despite it being a working day, it’s worth taking the time to visit your favorite store in search of attractive discounts. In addition, you can find interesting gifts for the upcoming holidays for your loved ones without spending a lot of money.
